Bought as Hoya pottsii SV 401 but I'm unsure if it is correctly identified. The leaves don't have the same nerve structure as the other "pottsies" I grow. Very similar to the Hoya samoensis types.

Most Hoya pottsii I've encountered have a nice, sweet scent but these are rather plain. Not much of a scent to speak of.

Hoya pottsii is actually a climbing plant that should do best on a trellis, but if one is short of ground parking... a hanging basket will do for most hoyas...

Should not be exposed to sunlight.. A shaded window facing west or east is good.

Slightly moist

Tolerates some drought but should not be allowed to run completely dry.


Intermediate species. Tolerates short exposure to temperatures no less than 10°C. Best grown in a regular room temperature of 20-25°C.

Leaf size: 4-6cm × 6-10cm
