Similar to Hoya pubicalyx and some believe this is the original, the type species. Hoya sp. HSI-037 occasionally appears as Hoya pubicalyx 'Leenie' or Hoya pubicalyx cv. Leenie but some claim it is not that species.

The leaves of Hoya sp. HSI-037 are conciderably smaller than on any Hoya pubicalyx in my collection and the leaves have absolutely no flecks or spots what so ever. It grows rather slowly but is in my experience easily cultivated. Tolerates some drought.
