Large, leather like leaves. Pink or white flowers.

Named after it's collector Carl Friedrich Naumann and published as Hoya naumannii. Somewhere along the way one of the n:s has dropped off and the species is generally spelled naumanii although this is incorrect.

Light, but no sunlight

Likes light but should not be exposed to sunlight. A protected window facing west is good.

Slightly moist

Tolerates some drought but should not be allowed to run completely dry.


Temperate species. Should not be exposed to draught or temperatures below 17°C. Grows best in an average temperature of 30°C.
