A Hoya from the finlaysonii group where one also finds Hoya vitellinoides, Hoya vitellina and off course Hoya finlaysonii.

Leaves are heartshaped, medium green with prominent dark veins.

Flowers of Hoya deykeae are small. The whole umbel is less than an inch in diameter (2cm). The scent is fresh and reminds me of grass.

Previously listed as Hoya deykei as it was published as such, but the name has been corrected according to the latin grammar.

 Variations in Hoya
Light, but no sunlight

Likes light but should not be exposed to sunlight. A protected window facing west is good.

Slightly moist

Tolerates some drought but should not be allowed to run completely dry.

Intermediate

Intermediate species. Tolerates short exposure to temperatures no less than 10°C. Best grown in a regular room temperature of 20-25°C.
